This past weekend the Hot Wheels Legends tour made its way to Temecula California.  Although they said it was their San Diego stop it was far from San Diego at about an hour away in Riverside County but with me being a Hot Wheels collector myself I wanted to attend.  I really didn’t see the actual event info until the week of and decided to take a chance and register my own vehicle and within 24 hours was approved to bring the Solar Eclipse Window Tinting Lexus GS300 show car up to the event from San Diego.  It was very last minute for me and when I mean last minute I decided at 6am to get to the shop and try to make it up to the event for roll in by 7:30am.  During these Hot Wheels legends events Hot Wheels chooses 1 vehicle from each tour stop to attend the SEMA show in Las Vegas along with other tour stop winners with hopes that their vehicle will be the final vehicle chosen to go in production and have an actual hot wheels casting that will be made available to the world.  I myself didn’t think my car was a car to be even considered but want to at least have my car at the event….Like I said I’ve been a hot wheels collector for about 25 years now so it was a pleasure to part of the event.  There were tons of different build out there ranging from hot rods to imports to just all out what is this type of builds.  Sorry if we dont have pictures of all the cars but it was very busy, crowded and the event was only 2-3 hours so we did our best.  We at Solar Eclipse Window Tinting of San Diego  took some flicks of our favorites and hope you enjoy the photos we are sharing with you.

Imports and Datsun 510’s have been a common casting in the Hot Wheels production the past couple of years and this car caught my eye  right off the bat.

This car just screamed Hot Wheels to me and rightfully so it was one of Hot Wheels display vehicles.

It was awesome to see some lowrider peeps make it out and even give a little show of what they can do to all the spectators.

A big inspiration and ideas to building our very own Japanese lowrider style vip build came from various Chevy Impala build similar to this…this was one of my favorites from the Hot Wheels legends San Diego tour.
